How to spot a fake FasTrak toll invoice phishing notice
Don’t lose your money by getting phished.
Toll road phishing scams are on the rise.
If you get a text message from a toll road, delete it!
Go into your account directly (not by clicking any links in an email or text message.)
If you are unsure whether the text message is for real, this is how you can tell.
Look at the sender.
If it is an email address, that’s fake.
A toll road will not send you an text message from an email address.
Look at the web address.
If it does not have thr company web address followed by a “/” then it is fake.
Look at the web address in the picture above.
If has “fastrak.org” in the address, but it is not followed by a “/” forward slash.
The actual website in the link above is “org-etctd.win” since the “/” follows it.
Stay cybersafe and don’t lose your money by getting phished.
